Adi Kailash Yatra is a sacred trek that welcomes thousands of Lord Shiva followers every year. Chhota Kailash is its local name and the second Panch Kailash Dham. This is not an expedition trek but a spiritual trek that will take you to nature and the divine energy of the Himalayas. In this travel guidebook, here we will reveal all about Adi Kailash Yatra—how to go, when to visit, permits, trekking details, and safety. What is Adi Kailash?

Pithoragarh district's Adi Kailash is a duplicate of general Mount Kailash. Pilgrims are taken to a place at Parvati Sarovar at 5,245 meters above sea level. Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati, and sons Ganpati Ji and Kartikeya Ji reside there, as per Hindu mythology.

It is encircled by a gigantic population of mythologies of the ancient era. King Ravana of Lanka did penance to Lord Shiva here and was blessed with superpowers. The Pandavas did their penance here at the insistence of Sage Vyasa. Adi Kailash is an abode of peace, spirituality, and devotion for thousands of Lord Shiva devotees.
